Help - Damp Passenger Footwell Mk5 Fiesta

Featured Replies

Awrite folks,

I'm selling my mk5 feaster and I'm finally getting round to sorting all the wee niggles. My main problem is that my passenger footwell carpet keeps getting damp. Now, I've read countless threads about the door seals not being sealed properly etc but my door seals are absolutely fine. If it has rained overnight the footwell will not be damp it is only when I'm actually out on the road it seems like the n/s/f tyre is kicking up water. I've pulled the carpet back and is only on the floor so it doesn't touch the diagnostic plug or up to the right near the centre console. A friend was looking at it and he said it looks like there is a little bit of soft metal on the floor or something.

Can anyone on here elaborate?

Cheers,

-bfg91
