St line rear spoiler issue with straps for bike carrier

Think I've made a mistake as when I bought the bike carrier I hadn't appreciated the boot lid restraining straps and going over the plastic spoiler 😬.

Has anybody found a solution at all for this please?

    I've had similar problems in the past with tailgate mounted carriers which all seem to risk damage somewhere.

    I ended up just taking out the bike front wheel, folding seats down, and putting it inside the car.

    You could use a roof mounted rack as in the thread below.
