Wet Carpet In Driver Side

Featured Replies

Been Googling the last few days and thought I'd ask here incase anyone has came across this issue and how to fix it. From researching I've narrowed it down (as much as I can) to the pollen filter, the scuttle drains, the window seals or a leak in the bulkhead. I've read that bulkhead leaks usually go through a horizontal grommit bit into the passenger side so I'm assuming it's not that, the passenger side is fine. The carpet in the driver side is sodden, more so when it rains, the raised carpet directly behind the pedals is dry as a bone but the dampness starts just before the pedals and reaches the rear driverside footwell.

I've got no technical knowledge at all but from what I hear clearing the scuttle drains is a relatively straight forward procedure and can be the cause for a lot of these problems. My question is, where on earth are the scuttle drains :P. If anyone could post a picture or a diagram or something that would be grand. Is the pollen filter easy enough to check? Are the two connected? Sorry for all the questions.

Edit: Sorry for the double post, could a mod kindly remove either this or the other one.
