Our local Ford garage is trying to sell to us "Total Gap Protection" by Mapfre Abraxas.

They want to charge about £400 for 3 years coverage - it covers the insurance write off value in case you have a total loss after a car fire or crash.

Any experience or thoughts about this service?

    Ask yourself, what am I going to be paying my car insurance for then? surely your own car insurance is going to be covering you (assuming your fully comp) for the same thing, my opinion steer clear, money for nothing.
