Featured Replies

Car never starts first time even in the summer.

Glow plugs were checked about 5 months ago and seened to be OK

Now it's colder takes ages to start

Cranking it over for ages inclusdig turning ignition on and off

Glow plug light goes off vey quickly

Battery checked yesterday and is OK

Suggestion where made such as: glow plugs, fuel filter, timming belt, air bubble in fuel pipe and

engine management problem? any other suggestions or has someone else had similar problems

Hi Herbie

not sure of your problem, but this may be worth checking.

Problem - non start

Reason - wiring harness chaffing on EGR valve

Remedy - repair harness and use cable tie to keep harness away from EGR

can also cause intermittent fault.

may be worth a look

Dont Know if this has been suggested before but check the relay for the glowplugs as it sounds like it might have failed (light going off quickly even when cold)

hope this helps,

Mike.
