Shark Fin Ariel

Featured Replies

Hello there

I am after a sharkfin ariel for my fiesta zetec s 2009 ?

anyone know where to get one from?

Try Sharm el Sheikh?

Are you planning on putting the fin on the front of the roof (replacing the standard) or the rear?

I can't see it looking right at the front, and at the rear would either double up with the original one, or require removing and filling the hole.

Agreed.

Not sure it will look alright on the front of the car mate!

Love the shark fin on my bimmer and was deadset on getting one on my Fiesta. However, all the hatchbacks I see with sharkfins just don't look right to me. Not a Fiesta, but hopefully it conveys what I am saying

That one actually looks better then all the other examples I saw. Putting it on the front would probably look better, because I doubt it'd be much worse. That fin is screaming BMW wannabe and I think it just comes across as cheap/sheep. Not to mention the kits I have found will negatively effect my FM and worse....my satilite radio which I have come to really enjoy. Better off just doing a simple short stubby antenna, which no doubt you'll find at many places over there. That's all I'll be doing. That will hurt FM reception, but sat radio should not be effected at all.

But if you want to try the fin, here is one that does a BMW knockoff look. It's just a cover you attach a wire to the base and the cover acts as the antenna. However, it will really hurt satellite radio (the base is for the satellite, the whip is for FM)

Although I think the Audi or Merc. version is better suited to a Hatchback and will even look good on the front. BMW's just looks like it belongs in the back to me.

Havne't sourced those for purchase, but they are OEM parts, so no doubt you can get it at a dealership (for audi).
