Electric Window Failure

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas here or has experienced this during the recent spell of sub zero temperatures. I tried to put my electric window (drivers side) down during the cold weather but it appeared to be frozen, so I didn't force it again. The window went down when the car warmed up. However, after another spell of cold weather the drivers window will now only go down about a quarter of an inch and back up again when I press the button. The passenger side is operating normally which makes me wonder if this cold has done something to the drivers side window? Does anyone have any ideas before I book the car in for inspection? Also if the window has failed due to the cold would this be covered under warranty my car's just over a year old?

Any info would be much appreciated.
