Fiesta Mk7 Mat Clips

Featured Replies

I purchased some mats for my Fiesta Edge that came with the clips to secure the mat into the floor studs, problem is I can't find these at all!

The closest thing I can find is on either side of the footwell there seems to be 2 tabs of the carpet that are tabs, I opened these up but there is nothing inside them.

Am I missing something?

Only the clips, lol! They sould come with the mats (if Ford ones) and slot in to the holes behind those tabs of carpet. Suggest contacting your dealer if you've last them, they might have spares?

I did get clips with the mats but I couldn't see how the clips would secure in there, I'll get the car out of the garage later and take a better look, thanks for the reply!

Turn them to a 90 degree angle so the flat part that sits against the floor is at the right or the left.

Lift up carpet tabs and push clips hole in metal.

Turn 90 degrees back to original position and push down so it's flat against the floor.

Then push through holes in mats and lock in to place!

The clips seem way to small to do that, here's 2 pictures:

Oh they're different to the current Fiesta, guessing they just screw in? Maybe someone else here has them...

I tried that but it did nothing :(

EDIT: I've spoken with the company where I got the mats and provided the picture, they stated that there should be clips inside the tabs that would connect to the mats, clearly there aren't in mine!

Did you buy the mats off eBay? Many sellers call the Fiestas made between 2005-2008 a Mk7. However on this forum the Mk7 is the 2008 onwards model - you might have the mats from a different shape Fiesta?

Nah I got them from carmats2fit and they were the 2008 onwards which were the ones I wanted.

These look like self drilling screws to be screwed directly into the floor carpet. Then place mat over clips to secure mat to floor.

Hope this helps.

I thought this at first but when I emailed the company they said that there should be clips already in the car which there aren't.

hiya peeps, when i bought my car i asked for mats to be added - i thinnk they took some from another car on the forecourt as they werent brand new. Does anyone have the part no for the clips as mine doesnt have them? I had a scary moment today where my mat slid under the pedals..

EDIT** cancel that found these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Ford-Fiesta-Front-Floor-Mat-Fixation-Kit-2008-/220665899743?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3360b66adf does this look like a reasonable price for one clip?
