Clutch Slipping

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and Girls,

New to forum but really need advice!!!!!

Changed my knackered DMF to a solid conversion all was well til a week later the slave cylinder popped  , therefor had to take gearbox out and fit a new slave cylinder. But now the clutch is slipping the car has only done 200 miles since fitted and i just don't know which way to jump. I have bled the slave cylinder and it seems air free but was wondering if there could be brake fluid contamination on the clutch from when it popped!! Is there any way of cleaning it off (getting it to stop slipping) without taking the gearbox off yet again :o

I've tried driving it for a week to see if it will burn off naturally but that hasn't worked.

Thanks in advance for your help B)
