Silly Qustion About Cd Player

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

My cheeks are turning red with embarressment asking this. I just recently bought a 1997 ford fiesta lx 1.3 hatchback. On the stereo there is a button for cd. You hit it and it says "no cd" on the screen so I think its safe to say that there is a cd player.

My embarressing problem is that I can only see where to insert a tape. I have no idea where to put a cd.

Do I need to get a new front for it or something or is the cd tray in some weird place?

If I have to get a new front its not very obvious to me how to remove the one that is there.

Could somebody wise me up please?

I believe the button is for when you have a 6-cd multichanger attached - never seen one myself though. Is there a phone number and image printed on the front of the stereo? If so, that's what you could call many years ago to get one fitted!

Damn....

On the back of the head unit is a connection for a cd player, however you can buy an adapter fro it which gives a usb input, much more convenient than a cd player. I think a company called "connects2" makes them.
