Just A Quick Question About My Engine.

Featured Replies

Hi all

Wondering if you could answer my question. Just been out checking my oil, topping up my washer fluid, checking the coolant level etc, and I noticed some mayo under the oil cap. Now I have not been anywhere this past week, just to work, and I must admit I've been really lazy and driven. I live quite close to work so the car hasn't been warming up fully. The car is running sweet as a nut, there is no oily film on the coolant and the level is perfect, no excessive steam out the back or any other symptoms of anything nasty happening, so I'm guessing its just where the car is not reaching optimum temperature.

Thanks In advance for any replies.

Regards

Adrian

chill out adrian, your self diagnosis is spot on, i do very short runs all the time and get mayo in the filler cap as the condensation in the engine (water) hasnt boiled of during a decent run.
