Hi all,

was wondering if anyone can share some info as I need to get rid of the petrol focus cus its costing way too much on fuel to be replaced by the newer model 2005 1.6TDCi (110).

How does the diesel perform in terms of torque/pull at certain rpm? I'm test driving one soon and need something to go on to make a more informed decision about the car. For instance a Passat 130 I had pulled like a train from 1700rpm to 3000 and tailed off until 4000 rpm. What should I expect from the Focus? I know it probably wont have the shear grunt of the VW and its 6 speed box probably emphasised the torque with its higher ratios.

Any info is greatly appreciated! :D
