Hi,

Wondered if any of the members could advise me re. a burning smell at the rear of my Mondeo.

The drivers side rear wheel becomes extremely hot and there is appears to be smoke after driving just a couple of miles. I have been told it is the brakes binding - could anyone confirm this and exactly what this means and potentially how much it will cost and whether I can drive the car at all.

    first of all do not use the car as the brakes could catch fire or do further damage.the caliper could just want releasing and cleaning or it may require new parts,until its striped down its difficult to say.
