1997 Explorer Fob Programming

I`m sure this subject has been raised before but you`ll all have to forgive me as I`m new to the site!! Well here goes with my request. I have a 1997 explorer and the remote fob is on it`s last legs so I want to program a new one (which I have been given ). Does anyone know if it`s possible to program this fob for the Explorer without taking it to a Ford dealership? I already have the coding instructions for the Probe which uses the identical fob but I can`t find any instructions relating to the 1997 Explorer. It uses (as does the Probe !) the single button Bosch fob as opposed to the later version which has 2 buttons. Hopefully someone will know the answer to this. Thanks Pete
