Featured Replies

hi there, i was comming home from work today aprox 8 miles and my car started fine all was okay the i was just coming round the corner to my house and my car suddenly cut out. it started again fine but now when i turn the ignition on after a few seconds the battery light is illuminated and won't go off. any suggestions anyone please. amanda

the first thing to check would be the aux belt which powers the alternator, make sure its still in one piece and is tight.

yep done that, still in one peice and seems to be tight enough, checked the battery and the alternator dosn't seem to be charging the battery.

the wire running from the alternator is a common problem and ford do a pelacment loom for around 16 pounds iirc, i would check this out aswell

has this problem been sorted now?
