M4 Fiesta 1998 Car Alarm

Good Morning.

I have a 1998 Fiesta Ghia 1.4 which has only done 50K. The car is a low millage ex motorbilty car and well looked after.

The drivers side door lock has failed (I have been told this is a common fault) using the passenger door the car alarm goes of and I need to fight to get it to stop!

The key fob no longer links to open the doors but that is no issue.

Would it be fluid has got into the key hole with the bad rain and snow over the past months?

Use WD40 but alas no good.

Help!!

I will post some pics of her as a lovley car and drives very well.
