i am aware that pumaspeed and monetune do a performance package for the 1.6 zetec s but i was wondering can this package be fitted to a 1.25 like mine. if so what sort of bhp gains can i expect?

I doubt it as it's pretty pointless to be fair, if you want more power buy a 1.4 or 1.6.

would go for 1.6 (1.4 isnt that much different)

But by the time you've paid for the mod & increase in insurance it would have been cheaper & easier just to buy better car.

It's pretty pointless because I doubt there would be any noticeable difference. It's a hardly an engine that needs it's potential unleashing.

And has already been said, the increase on insurance would negate any saving on getting a 1.4 or 1.6.

Just so you're aware the Miltek kit from Puma Speed - 4-2-1 manifold, sport cat and the exhausts will fit on a 1.25 engine but what power gains you get I wont have a clue. You can also fit the J1 induction kit on the 1.25 engine.
