New Irritation

Featured Replies

Well I have yet another irritation with my TIT !!..........There is a continuous audible mechanical/electrical whiring coming from behind the radio area of the dashboard which keeps going even after the ignition is off...any ideas ???....only started last week...its almost as irritational as the rattling A frame piller cappings.

Its strange...I really like my car ...but...I 'KIN HATE IT AS WELL !!!!!

my car has the rattles i find turning my music up solves this..

the radio issue, contact ford?

Lots of little rattles here too.. I'll get them all eventually

Sounds like you might want to take that one to Ford mind, though not much use they tend to be.

It could be the climate control temperature sensor, which has a small fan so it can sample the air in the cabin. It keeps running for a few minutes after you turn off the ignition. Maybe it's worked loose or gone wrong?

Interesting remark regarding the climate control temperature sensor: it certainly sounds like a fan whirring away......car is just out of the first year of warranty, I wonder if this would still be covered?

The Fiesta certainly looks the part...but...build quality/componant quality is sadly lacking

Isnt it jsut abouve your left knee in the lower dash?...theirs a small grill to allow the air in.

But in the cabin that could be about right..noise and rattles has a funny way of travelling form its true source!

No, that's the airvent for the footwell blowers, if you switch to the footwell setting, this is where it blows the air at you, there's one on the passenger side, above their right knee too.

Thats no wher enear where im talking about, this is higher and is 3 small slits in the lower half of teh dash.

Sorry, my mistake. I haven't really paid much attention to the grills to be honest.
