Abs, Handbrake Light, Speedo, Odometer Warnings!

Hey all,

Got a problem with my Mk3 2.0 TDCI mondeo...when switched on initially the odometer and other digital display show values, but then after about 10 seconds or so just trun to dashes. Aswell as this, the speedo doesn't work, the ABS light is always on and the handbrake light doesn't go off. I also don't get the annoying yet needed no seatbelt chime anymore.

I've been advised it could be the ABS sensors on the wheels as they control the electronic speedo, but it doesn't explain the other faults...any ideas???
