Hiya,

would like to know if im being ripped off or not?!

I have a fiesta 1.25 2006 with high mileage of 137,000!

Had car serviced last year and had to have power steering pump and hose replaced as corroded and leaking, so

had that fixed in sept 2010.

Had starter engine replaced dec 2010. (but to be exepected due to mileage!)

Now today (feb 2011) had car MOT and failed on major problem with steering rack leaking oil.

Quoted over £1000 for part, labour and vat with ford. Is this usual price and does this problem occur alot?

Has any one had same problem??
