Just registered - so hello to all.

My wife's Fiesta Zetec 1.4 on 2003 plate has a hiccup when pulling away from junctions etc. No engine management light coming on, fuel consumption also seems high. Had the car to Ford, they checked for fault codes (none) also uploaded latest management software - no change. I have re-newed spark plugs, plug leads and coil pack - no change.

Have read all sorts, nothing definitive, have read about MAF sensor being cleaned, unfortunately the MAF on this car is not easily found.

Has anybody got any thoughts.

    MAF is going to be mounted the the airbox or the pipe feom the airbox to the throttle body
