Should have bought an Edge or Studio - wouldn't have been a problem then!

Excuse my ignorance but I'd have thought the complete opposite. A stone hitting the windscreen would have cost £10 excess to repair or £60-£70 to replace and your insurance wouldn't have been affected.

Not 100% sure about Fords but front fogs normally come as sealed units ie you'd have to purchase a brand new unit.

Perhaps one of those online breaker yards might be able to help / reduce the cost a little. Just had a look at flee bay:

I've seen them ones on ebay, got a mate whos got a spare one so gonna attempt some surgery on it and get it sorted. I use my car like every day for work so if the windscreen chipped wudn't be too bad but if it cracked be a right pain!
