Scratched Car

Featured Replies

Ok so during December when it was snowing I accidently scrapped the underside of the car on some concrete hidden by snow. Because I can't see it I keep forgetting about it, but its something I keep meaning to get sorted. Most of the scratches are not that bad but a few have taken the paint off. Any idea how to get it fixed and a rough cost? I have been looking at ChipsAway but I was just wondering what my other options are, I think it looks to deep for home remedy stuff.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photos, I would go out and take some new ones but my cameras packed it in >_<

Thanks in advance!

Nicola

Your local bodyshop should be able to sort that easily. I've just had a full respray with a little prep work on a rear bumper that cost £80 at a local bodyshop. There are plenty of mobile companies that do this kind of work as well and can do it at your home or work, there are no cracks or splits I can see, so it shouldn't be too bad and they will give you a quote online, you may just need to send some piccies via E Mail.

Here's a few.

as with above ^ just go round all your local body shops and ask for a quote on it and simply go the cheapest... i did that with mine but it was bumped and scratched, cant tell anything was ever there now :)

I used Chips Away for a bumper scuff and it was £140, another SMART repairer quoted £150. The Chips Away man did a good job but he did say that the paint was difficult to work on and that you may notice the repair in bright sun.
