My Escort was not used for a while and the battery went completely flat leading to the inevitable radio keycode problem, the serial's M042046 if anyone can help.

Now the battery's charged another greater problem is that when I turn the key to start it nothing happens.

Is there some sort of ignition off/engine immobiliser switch that's been triggered ,is it linked to the keycode or do I have two separate problems?
