hi to all

could someone help me my focus has started to judder in 3rd and 4th gear it started when over taking this afternoon its a 1.8 tdci with 100k on the clock 1st and 2nd gear is fine just found it this afternoon is it big job or combination of little things can anyone do it i have a friend who is handy with engines or has it got to go to a dealer any info would be greatful

Hi m8, are you sure it's in these gears or is it happening when you go over a cretin speed? If it is happening over a cretin speed and only kissers when you put you foot on the accelerator and stops juddering when you let the accelerator go, it's your driveshaft. Other than that m8 I can't help you any further sorry

I'd consider the coil pack, plugs and leads. Usually you can tell a coil pack is gone if you try and do 20mph in 4th gear, it will start spluttering. Try that.
