Help! Apparently I Need The Cam To Be Reset

Featured Replies

Good afternoon Ladies and Gents

My aftermarket canbus alarm isn't working and my aftermarket head unit keeps cutting out every now and again - both problems arose after I disconnected the car battery to get the sodding Cusco strut brace fitted.

Any way Clifford have said that once the battery is disconnected on some cars the cam could go to sleep, it appears my cam has done just that.

Any way, Ford are quoting me £140 plus vat to reset the Cam, what a !Removed! rip off especially as its a simple thing as plugging the car to a laptop and clicking the reset button.

Has anyone heard of anything similar?

If not then be aware, try to avoid disconnecting your battery, what if you get a flat battery and need to repace it? Guessing you have no option but to go to a Ford dealer who will rip you off on labour charge aaaaargh!
