i have a 2007 1.6 TDCI Focus and with the price of diesel was looking at the prospect of using bio-diesel which is 50p a litre cheaper, Do i need to make any modifications to the engine etc, Will affect the performance of the car and the service intervals etc

    i read in the owners manual for my 2006 1.8 TDCI and it says "do not use bio fuel" so i wouldnt do it...apparently it can rot your fuel lines and cause damage.

    not sure if the latter is true but it definately says do no use it.
