2006 KA, Runs fine at first, then loses power as you try to accelerate, revs wont go over2000,

Had a guy out to it (auto tuner )said it was my Maf sensor, had it changed still doing it, he nows says its petrol pump, what i want to know is when its pluged into computer should it state what the fault is i.e fuel pump? also my engine management light is on.

    if the EML is on there will be a fault code stored in the ecu to point towards what the fault is,it could be many things from a sensor to a collapsed cat so best to get the codes read first.
