Vibration Whe Cold In Dash

Featured Replies

My new fiesta has got a slight vibration when accelerating hard when cold is this normal seems to go after that.

Hi Tommy

My car does that as well even with 16000 miles on the clock

It goes after everything has warmed up or expanded. its as if all the plastic parts are like a quarter of an inch too small which

causes rattles etc

Jamie

p.s if you have auto wipers that plastic bezel just below the rear view mirror buzzes on my car and its right annoying

Re. the plastic bezel below the mirror - mine used to do that too, I cured it by very carefully pushing some strips of carpet underlay into the gap between the bezel & windscreen (I pushed it in with a dessert spoon handle). The underlay's invisible & it's completely cured the rattling - I did the same with the rattly "A" pillar trim.

Now have an annoying rattle from the boot area though! After fiddling around for ages I finally cured that by turning the radio up...

You didn't leave the dessert spoon in the boot did you?
