Missing Crank Lock Pin Hole

i have replaced my water pump on my 1.4 tdci 07 plate and cant work out how to get the crank in correct timing position as the lock pin hole described in the workshop book which should be on the crank sprocket flange is not there , is this a change in design and is there an alternative hole ....... thanks

    There is a small hole (4mm?) at the top of the accessory belt drive pulley.
