One Clean Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Seeing as the weather was perfect for giving the car a propper clean, i deicded i would give the car the full works!

I started off by cleaning the body work with Auto Glym bodywork shampoo and using the two bucket method.

I then dryed the car using extra large Microfiber towels from Costco - A great buy if anybody wants them

Once the car had been dried off, i attempted the claying stage. This is where it took great care and attention. I used Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit which is much easier to use than i thought! Once that was done (after around 6 hours!) the paint was nice and smooth, the finsih was very very good!

Once i done the claying, i applied a top coat of Auto Glym SRP followed by extra gloss protection. I would of applied a propper wax, but after spending all the time cleaning the car i couldn't be bothered

Anyway, here's the finished results:

Must admit that does look very nice. When black is clean it's by far the best colour

Looks great! I had to choose between black and white and I went with white...but definitely black looks cool also

In my personal opinion, black fits better the bigger cars.

Jedilard, Tato - you's do relise Mark's car is Sea Grey not black? lol

Anyway, the car looks excellent Mark M.K. I washed mine this morning then 10 minutes after drying it off it rained!

Nevermind, its still cleaner than it was yesterday (plus I didn't spend 6 hours on it) ;)

Paul.

 i do admit, Sea grey does look like black in different light. The paintwork really does shine in this morning's sun, much better than yesterday when i took the pictures.

Many thanks for the comments :)
