Hi all,

I'm new to this site and I am looking for some help with my 2006 Mondeo (facelift model) 2.0L TDCI 130bhp, this is lengthy so make yourself comfortable. It has 44K on the clock and I'v only owned it for 6 months. My problems started when I had a loss of power and the car would cut out. The AA said the fault codes indicated Injectors and towed me to a diesel specialist. He put the injectors trough the test rig and £480 later told me injectors failed the idle test but found traces of water in the fuel filter. So he replaced the filter and returned the car.Feeling like I had been raped I paid and left. I then noticed the car was hard to start, at the turn of the key it would cut out. I paid another garage to do a back leak test and all was good but he said pump was breaking up as he found metal filings from a pipe. Feeling raped again I spoke to a friend who checked the fuel from the return but no bits found. He suggested it was taking in air and we replaced the filter and the plastic feed pipes to the filter. But it still don't seem rite.

Can anyone help me as I cant afford main dealer prices as just lost my job.

Dave from London.
