What's With The Gumgum Ads On Pictures?

Featured Replies

What's the score with these annoying GumGum ads that have started appearing on pictures in the forum? They even pop-up on profile pics.

I have found a simple way to remove them, just add ?ggnoads directly after .jpg in the link for the picture :D

For example:

LPIC0053.jpg

LPIC0053.jpg?ggnoads

Nice find!

Probably there for a reason though :)

I saw them last night. It's annoying as sometimes I can't read comments. And u have to scroll right to remove them.

At a guess they might be paying towards the site to advertise.

!Removed! annoying though

Could this be why there are many threads containing photos I can’t open?

All I have been getting recently on threads I could once view is an error message –this is the only site I have a problem with.

I suppose it could be my ‘pop up’ blocker kicking in but if so there must be more than me with this problem?

I have Adblock installed on Chrome so I have no idea what your on about, can't remember seeing them before I installed it though :S

Well as of tonight. They have gone!
