Warranty - Mk7

Featured Replies

I was just wondering what are you allowed to change in a Fiesta Mk7, without voiding the warranty?

Cheers!

there are different part to the warranty (body, electrical...etc) and to the letter of the small print, changing pretty much anything will invalidate part of the warranty, especially if the mod wasnt done by an approved garage. Realistically anything which cant be reversed is probably going to cause the most trouble if you have to get ford to sort something. Simple cosmetic stuff should be fine, same with adding any additional ford bits. Mechanicals and aftermarket parts are more risky.

What about fitting parking sensors?

What about fitting parking sensors?

The Fiesta is such a tiny car, and most aftermarket parking kits are awful.

It won't void any warranties as long as you power it properly and fuse it properly, but it will make the bumper look ugly.

ford fit parking sensors them selves... probably for more than all of us on here collectively have in our banks but they will... they never fussed about my old lights on the car, infact they just said some of the LEDS have gone

You are also right, Fiesta is indeed a small car, probably there is not so much need in adding them to my car. I was thinking more about my fiancée, she might find the sensors useful :D

Anyway, my top priority: 17 inch rims :D
