Style 2008 Warning Light

Hi,

I have a 2008 focus style 1.6 tdci. A warning light has come on which looks like a circular cog with an exclamation mark in the middle of it. It's red and stays on.

I've had a look in the manual and there's absolutely nothing on it. Any idea what it means?

Also my engine warning light came on shortly after and I think they may be linked?

    Red cog with exclamation is brakes if im not mistaken? and if the EML came on also, then you should get it checked out. Does the cog light come on when you start the engine, or was it a one off?

    Maybe a picture of your dash whilst the engine is running will help!
