Hi Paul,

Theres far to many personal things that alter the price of car insurance for someone to say I recommend so & so for the cheapest deal - e.g. your post code, driving history, mileage, age, etc etc.

The only way to find the best deal for you is to use a price comparison site like mentioned above.

And use a few comparison sites too - I often find a difference between one sites 'cheapest quote' to another sites 'cheapest quote'.

My renewal quote arrived a few weeks back and after using 3 different price comparison sites I managed to save £600! (Renewal quote was £1200).

Funny thing was was the £600 quote was with a sister company of my current insurer. So I rang mine up and they matched it.

So after 10 minutes online I basically rang my insurer and got 50% knocked off.

Price comparison sites are a must!

That sounds like a good deal, I did read in the article about a company called Insurethebox, I might give them a ring...

I'm only using my car to get to and from work atm so I must do under 6k mileage a year... maybe that'll help me get a cheaper quote.

I've read that article and I'm abit confused too :S

It sounds like a good idea though, kind of like topping up your mobile phone lol
