Mk1 Focus Airbag Light

Featured Replies

Hi all, i was wondering if anybody could help. My airbag light keeps coming on on my mk1 focus ghia. It flashes 5 times then stays on. Its happened a few times over the past few months but its doesent always happen all the time. Could this be a bad connection somewhere that i can look at my slef or will it be a ford job etc.

Regards

Chris

Hi I had a problem with my Mk 6 Escort, the warning light flashed 4 times then 2 sec pause then 4 times etc, I did a google search on it someone had posted the solution which was to disconnect the yellow connections under the driver's and passengers seats for 2 minutes with the ignition off, then reconnect. voila it worked.

Ah brill, cheers, i tried to search for it on google yesterday but i could not find nothing for 5 flashes. most of the problems seem to be with the connection under the seat. so, just gunna go down have a look armed with a can of wd40 incase its also a bad connection. cheers for the advice

Just found a site for the fault codes, code 5 is telling me the drivers airbag is faulty. Looks like this could be expensive.
