Hi all,

Been looking around on posts here and on web, but sofar not been able to find what i am looking for.

My MKII Mondeo Ghia fails to blow air out into the cabin. Regardless the setting it blows the air up on the windscreen.

The seller whom i bought it from told me that he had been told by his mechanic that it may have been vacuum related as it started happening after the clutch was replaced. According to the seller the mechanic thought that they may have pushed a vacuum hose causing a leak. The vacuum leak has been sorted, but the problem with the air flow is still there....any ideas welcome

Thanks,

Lars

Got to say it sounds more of a directional problem. i.e. the switch that controls the blower might be stuck on windscreen?

does the blow speed vary when you go from 0 - 4?

Yes, i can adjust speed and temperature ok.

Sounds likely to be the blower control switch. Where you set the control to blow to face i think the mechanism has gone and although you change it the motor cant move the actual control of the air from the windscreen.

Also check your pollen filter is not clogged up. I remember my Mk1 Mondy doing similar, until I changed it.

I have no idea when the filter was last changed, so i think i will do that before i start messing about with the control panel for the air flow selections.

Thanks for the tips, i will let yer know.

Regards,

Lars
