Hello,

I have done some searches to see if anybody has had a simular problem , But could not find any,

My problem is that I can't release the tailgate when i press the release button , I can hear some sort of noise from the back when pressed but it does not open, Is this a common fault with them?? I have cleaned up all the contacts!!

Any help- advice with this would appreciated.

    I know you have an escort but look through the focus forums, there have been countless issues of this, where people have had to replace switches, or solanoids. maybe something there can help as the Focus is the Escorts younger brother!
