Anyone know of where I can get my Fiesta serviced with a stamp in the log book for cheaper than the dealers? Mine is due it's 80k major service which I have been quoted £180 for the value service at a Ford dealership.

I am located in Medway in Kent and it is a 56 plate TDCI Zetec-s.

any garage will be able to do a service and stamp the book.. the most important thing is the receipt for the work

Thank you - I ment more because it is now getting to 80k miles I wanted to see if there was anyone that can do it for cheaper than a garage in my area that someone has used before.

I too live in medway in Gillingham, and presume you are referring to either Pier Road, or up by the Leisure area in Strood. and in all honesty, I would say if your going to get the 80k service done, I wouldnt scrimp on the "value" side of it. If I was you, get a proper quote from them for a normal run of the mill service, and ask them what the difference is between the two. I have previously won a service from them, but was not very impressed with it. I think the car may have gone in, been looked at then rolled back out again. fair enough, that was a Gratis Service, but I think when your getting to the higher mileage, you really need to be confident that what you pay for, what you get, and what your car needs can be very different indeed.

I cant remember if the 80k service is one that is a minor service, I think it is, but I cant remember if as you get higher up the mileage, ,the minor becomes more complex? may be worth reviewing your service schedule for this.
