Hi all,

my run around 1.25 zetec cut out last week, had rac out to it and it will start but then cuts out.

if you pump the trottle it will stay running, tho there is bits of something coming from the exhaust, i can feel it.

all plugs are firing and are new, there is no air blockage.

rac cant find whats wrong. full tank of full in it to and the coil and leads seem fine according to the rac.

any idears would be most welcome.

cold start valve?

Exhaust failure. Sounds like its not getting proper back pressure on idle.

would that stop it from holding midrange rpm?

tho theres plenty of exhaust gases coming out of her, also if you try to pull away it wont have it and cuts out????

my first fiesta did that after id her for a few years was about to chuck then my mate did something to the timing and it gave it a new lease of life i sold it about 8 month ago just check your timing if she still plays up check you sparks and leads are working fine and are nice and clean hope you get her fixed
