Hi, my Focus 1.8 LX (2000) plate the tailgate release button does not work, it also will not work via the key fob. The central locking works as normal.

I have checked the fuses and they are ok. I have the Haynes manual but dosn't really give any advise on this problem.

Hoping you guys on here can help.

    Sounds like you need a new boot solenoid mate,

    It pops the latch when you press the button on the dash, orthe fob
