My ignition key wont turn in the cylinder barrel whilst I am turning the steering wheel left to release the lock...seen junk advice about hitting the steering column under key slot...any quick fixes or is it

A) get another key cut which seems daft cos it works in the door to get in the car

B) go to breakers and see if they have a key ignition cylinder and spare key and get someone magic to fit it

HELP....
