C-Max Engine Warning Light On & Indicators Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Yesterday my 2004 C-max's brake warning light came on when driving, then the engine warning light came on too. The brake warning light went off when applying and removing the handbrake then came on a couple more times. This has since gone off but the engine warning light has stayed on. Around the same time the indicators started to work on an intermittent basis, with no ticking or lights. They seem fine now however.

Obviously this sounds like an electrical issue so I checked all the fuses but all were fine. The car needs to go into the garage to be checked but my wife is refusing to drive it as she thinks it's going to break down.

Any advice on what the problem could be and if it's a simple fix/known issue etc please?

Thanks!

Check the connections under the fuse box have not been caught by feet or objects in the passenger footwell
