The rear brakes on my 2001 Focus (54k miles) have started making a grinding noise. I've been looking into how to change the shoes myself but wondered if they might just need a clean? What do you think?

    Could be that they only need a clean, best thing to do is dig out the cleaner and take the drum off, and give it a go!
