Mk 3 Dials Problem

Featured Replies

Hi All

I hope you can help me. I have a 53 plate 2.0 TDCI mondeo. Yesterday my nearside dipped headlight blew which in turn blew the fuse. I have now replaced both but now when I switch the ignition on all the dial spin round to max and the MPG. MPH and trip milometer reset themselves to zero. From then on all works well until I switch off and switch on again and it all repeats itself

sounds almost like a permanent live has been lost, do dashboards have these?

have u checked all the fuses in the various locations of fusebox lol! cant remember if the mondeo has one in the car and one under the bonnet...

Or, may be a silly idea... is it the right bulb? i know if you put the wrong brakelight and stuff in it can cause havoc with electrical systems in the vicinity of the light lol... just a thought
