2004 Fiesta blower fan noise.....

Featured Replies

Morning all,

dunno if anyone can help, but I have got a noise coming from my blower fan on my '04 Fiesta......

Until yesterday, it sounded like a leaf was stuck in the fan, and it develped (a very annoying) intermittent squeek (sounded like someone was murdering my car!) when the fan was running. Yesterday, on start up, the fan sounded like it was either catching on the side or something stuck in it to the extent that it was slowing the fan down, then developed a loud noise when the fan starts up, this disappears when the fan is going faster....!

Think its probably a bearing or something but I aint too good with things like that..... does anyone have any experience of a fault like this?? Or have any ideas of what it could be?? (and how much its likely to cost to get it fixed- poss new fan??)

Cheers all (in advance...!). :D
