Focus Or Fiesta

Featured Replies

im looking at a fiesta and a focus over the weekend and i am gonna make my decision based on price and running costs but wanted to find out if there are any known faults to be aware of with either, ive heard one complaint about a focus turbo getting knackered due to carbon build up but am informed this isnt a common issue

fiesta 05 plate 1.25 lx petrol with 55k on clock

or

focus 05 plate zetec 1.8 tdci mid 60s on clock

any info will be much appreciated thanks :)

Both of the mileage you have posted are pretty good.

Comes down to a test drive and personal choice.

The Focus you like the look of has a bomb proof engine (and no nasty DPF to worry about).

Fiesta is nippy but lacks the power of the Focus.

Focus is far higher spec than the Fiesta.

LX version is pretty basic, Zetec will have miles more toys.

As i say though, personal choice.

cheers for that i have to admit i like the focus more those exact reasons but find my self liking the fiesta for the interior and obviously cheaper insurance, i doubt theyll be a massive mpg difference due to the nature of my commute on the a38.

guess itll be down to more fun or money in the end :)

id go for the focus as i think it would be a bit more realiable

Ended up buying the focus, have also bought timing belt kit and tool will be changing it for good measure as I don't trust any belt to last 100k. But yea well happy with it!

Will so when I pick her up :)

Good choice m8, i have 1.8 zetec petrol with sport pack. Previousely owned Mondeo's and swore by them, decided to go a bit smaller this time and have not been disapointed , YET.
