Featured Replies

Hi i have a problem my electric window is not working on driver side the dealer after looking at it said it requires a new regulator he said will need to order it from ford after a day I went back and asked he cancel the part. but he said he cant. some crap about ford wont take them back. he said it would cost £216 plus labour and vat which is nearly £300 am I being ripped off the part had to be ordered directly from ford am I obligated to pay for it since I ordered it?

oh and just for looking at it he charged me £35.

any help and or advise would be helpful they said reason expensive he said regulator and motor all comes as one unit.

my car is a 2003 ford focus 1.6 ink. 3 door.

Have you already paid for the part?

If not, then you are under no obligation.

no i have not paid for the part yet

I happen to know it's !Removed! that they can't send parts back, they just don't want to.

Anyway what can they do if you don't call in for the part, send around the heavies?

Just don't go back to the garage or use them again, as Stony said they can't do much about it. :ph34r:You ain't seen me, right?

Saw who? ;)

Not me! B)

What was that? ;)

Remember the "Fastshow" ? :D

Right! never saw you. :D Off topic again, easily done. ;)

Never realised we were even on a topic to start with.

Anything to relieve the boredom while I wait for a support team to clear thick undergrowth so I can get a grid search underway.

What you need is my "search & rescue team", I would send them in without clearing the undergrowth, it stops them getting bored.

I've searched 5 areas already today including a overgrown rail line but waiting for the TSG to catch up is a pain.

I search then they clear and fingertip the area.

Looking for knives is a right ball ache.

That's the sort of job my team sometimes gets involved with, but it's mostly "Mispers" (confused vulnerable adults and missing children), we were set up after the Sarah Payne case in Sussex, July 2000.

I'm working a murder and an armed robbery.

Deep joy. ;(

They will be sending out a search party soon to steer us back to the topic, and get an answer to Paul original question.

In sleepy Devon?

LMAO.

Devon ain't that sleepy trust me.

We've got the biggest area to cover and most of it is rural or moorland.

I'm kept pretty busy as I have the only dual task dog in my unit. (AES and drugs).

My fault for being too keen and being an AES dog trainer to boot.

I suppose that's why I'm worth the big bucks and am a victim of my own success too. :D

The Moors must be a bit of a task; in Sussex it's usually woodland, and always raining. :(

Dartmoor itself is 368 square miles then add on Exmoor and Bodmin moor too.

Lots of quarries, tin mines and military training areas to cover.

Dog walkers heaven. Dog workers hell.

If I take mine for a moor walk, the searcher is constantly turning up unspent ordnance.

I have the local army and navy disposal teams on speed dial.

I should just tell them when I'm on Dartmoor so they can follow me.

It would save time. ;)
