Rickie Zayee
Hello there, new to this forum and was hoping for some help. I have a 2006 Ford Focus that's done 69k miles with a full service history. Just recently, on trying to start the engine it's made a grinding type noise (a bit like when you're driving and don't engage a gear properly "if you can't find it, grind it" type noise). Anyway it doesn't turn on and I have to return the key to off again. It does this once or twice before then starting and driving all ok. Any ideas from the more mechanically minded? As my car knowledge goes as far as it's dark grey in colour. Many thanks!
mintalkin
i would say its either the battery down on power or a dodgy starter motor, get you battery and alternator checked first by a local good garage, try to avoid the fast fit centers with the instant 'you need a new one attitude'
